One Day Before Rain is a free calligraphic font with an exuberant, highly ornamented hand. Strong thick-to-thin changes give the letters a dramatic sweep, and long looping flourishes curl around and beneath the main strokes. The decoration is deliberately lavish.

Designers working on romantic, theatrical, or luxury-minded projects will find it especially suited to invitations and event stationery. Its sweeping lines can also turn fashion packaging, album artwork, or a restaurant identity into something closer to custom lettering than ordinary type. Wedding invitations are its clearest fit, since the extended curls echo the decorative borders and formal details often used in that setting.
