Starship Troopers, designed by TylerAM of FontStruct, is a free pixel display font with stark, modular letterforms. Square corners, stepped curves, and abrupt gaps give the lettering the utilitarian look of a computer terminal or low-resolution science-fiction interface.
It can turn lettering into a game menu interface. The block-built forms also suit technology posters and arcade merchandise, especially when the design draws on retro screen graphics. Its most convincing role is game design, where the letters can read as part of the hardware.
