SF Slapstick Comic SC Bold, designed by Derek Vogelpohl of ShyFoundry, is a free distorted cartoon display font with broad, emphatic forms. The blocky caps tilt and lurch at different angles, like shapes cut from flexible card. Uneven widths and blunt edges keep the lettering boisterous.
It can turn a title into part of the joke, fitting comic covers and animated title cards. The exaggerated shapes also suit children's entertainment, game graphics, and novelty packaging. Off-kilter angles echo physical comedy and cartoon motion, tying the lettering directly to the action.
