Sailors by Julie Morris of Julie Morris Design is a free decorative display font with tall, sharply cut capitals. Its uneven widths and abrupt diagonal notches give the lettering a hand-shaped, maritime-sign quality. Broad strokes alternate with narrow slivers, producing a tense and irregular silhouette.
The mast-like verticals and sail-shaped wedges can echo nautical illustration in posters and event graphics. It also suits apparel and bar branding. On magazine covers, those angular forms can become part of a seafaring theme rather than serving as neutral type.
