RoughTypewriter Police

Rough Typewriter by Jason Arthur is a free old-school eroded typewriter font with broad slab serifs and an uneven, ink-stamped finish. Heavy letterforms are peppered with nicks, gaps, and rough edges that vary convincingly across the alphabet. The slightly irregular shapes recall pages struck on a worn mechanical machine.

Its unmistakable typewritten character suits mystery novels, historical posters, and archival-themed editorial design. It also has the blunt impact needed for album packaging. The distressed ink marks can echo photocopies, case files, and aged documents, making the lettering part of a grunge or detective-themed graphic rather than a neutral caption.

- Regular
- Italic
- Bold
- Bold italic

It also includes automatic ligatures for double letters, including aa, bb, cc, ee, and others.
