Ravie, designed by Ken O'Brien of The Font Bureau, is a free cartoon display font with a distinctly groovy streak. Its broad, uneven letters roll between bulbous curves and sharp, flared points, with changing stroke widths that keep the shapes lively. The forms look deliberately unruly.
For music posters and children's packaging, the exaggerated silhouettes turn wording into part of the artwork rather than a neutral caption. The same comic swagger also suits festival merchandise and playful food branding, especially when a project draws on 1960s psychedelia. In magazines, it suits humorous cover lines and illustrated features with offbeat subjects.
