ProtoSans52 Police

ProtoSans52 by Roman Gornitsky is a free modular display font built from broad rectangular strokes, sharply squared openings, and rigid right-angle turns throughout the lettering, with an almost architectural sense of assembly. Its blunt shapes feel machined and deliberately stripped of curves.

Digital graphics are its most convincing medium, especially interface titles and game branding, where the block-based forms can suggest control panels, early computers, or constructed virtual worlds rather than polished digital minimalism. The same hard-edged construction connects electronic music posters, technology packaging, and arcade merchandise through a visual vocabulary drawn from screens, circuits, machinery, factory diagrams, and industrial labels.
