Philosopher by Jovanny Lemonad is a free high-contrast serif with tall, poised letterforms, open rounded curves, slender joins, and a distinctly literary air. Broad vertical strokes and fine hairlines create crisp contrast throughout the letters.

Book covers are its strongest setting because the stately proportions give literary fiction, essays, and cultural histories an intelligent title treatment, and the same measured elegance suits editorial features and museum posters.
