Open Dyslexic, adapted by Abelardo Gonzalez from Bitstream Vera, is a free sans serif with noticeably weighted lower strokes. Broad curves, open forms, and gently uneven outlines give the letters a grounded, approachable appearance compared with a conventional geometric sans.
Educational worksheets are an especially fitting use, with the distinct silhouettes also serving classroom posters, reading guides, and digital learning materials. In publishing, it can support study books and instructional pages that benefit from friendly lettering and clearly differentiated shapes.
