Old Scribe by Galdino Otten is a free handwritten font with jagged, sharply cut letters and a hurried, restless line. Its uneven strokes end in splinters and sudden hooks.
Horror and dark fantasy are its clearest territory, especially for book covers and game graphics built around rough, unsettling imagery. The scratchy forms also suit concert posters and Halloween merchandise, where lettering can become part of the distressed artwork. It is most convincing on a horror title, with each letter looking scratched into the scene rather than neatly written over it.
