Meyne Textur, designed by Peter Wiegel, is a free Textura blackletter font with a severe, dense medieval profile. Its narrow, tightly constructed letters combine broad vertical strokes, hairline cuts, diamond-shaped points, and sharply broken curves made with a broad pen that recall formal manuscript lettering.
A brewery, metal record label, or historical venue could use this lettering to build a suitably formal identity rooted in old-world craft, ceremony, and ritual. It also suits book covers and event posters centered on medieval history, dark fantasy, Gothic music, and folklore. Those blade-like joins can echo heraldic borders, engravings, and angular illustration.
