JethroCaps by Paulo W of IntellectaDesign is a free ornamental initials font rooted in Gothic manuscript lettering. Each broad capital is built as a miniature illustration with dense curling foliage, fine crosshatched texture, and small birds or beasts woven through the strokes, and irregular contours and pointed flourishes recall the hand-drawn richness of illuminated pages.
Medieval fantasy is its clearest setting for book covers and games. The same storybook detail also suits historical event posters, ornate wedding invitations, and specialty packaging, where the decorated capitals can function as miniature emblems filled with creatures and leaves rather than ordinary display lettering.
