Interstellar Erosion by David Kerkhoff is a free script font with the scraped, restless finish of ink dragged across a rough wall. Its tall, narrow letters bend and buckle at unexpected points, with uneven loops and blunt joins breaking up the line. Dense speckling runs through nearly every stroke, leaving the lettering raw and weather-beaten.
Grainy photography and photocopied textures echo its battered surface, making it useful for punk posters and underground magazine covers. Music artwork is its clearest home. The same abrasive marks can turn skate merchandise, streetwear graphics, and horror event branding into part of the surrounding artwork.
