Packaging gains a convincing antique-print quality from the broken serifs and uneven ink texture. It suits music merchandise and event posters with a rough historical or sideshow theme. Imprenta Royal Nonpareil is Intellecta Design’s version of Nonpareil, an ancient typeface found in the rare book Muestras de los Punzones y Matrices de Letra que se funde en el Obrador de la Imprenta Real, Madrid, Año de 1799. The original sample contains only 33 letters. Those letters formed the basis of this expanded version, which contains 223 glyphs. At that time, letters of this kind were used for headlines and titling.
