Elementary Gothic by W.K. Roach is a free Celtic Gothic display font with tall, theatrical capitals and the uneven grace of hand-cut inscription. Its strokes shift sharply between broad wedges and hairline joins, with flared tips and curling details breaking the formal silhouette. The result feels distinctly medieval.
Fantasy publishing and heritage event posters draw on the same carved, storybook quality, though the lettering can also bring a curious historical edge to music merchandise and theatrical programs. For a craft brewery, festival, or folklore project, its irregular capitals can become a recognizable emblem rather than merely a line of type.

"Elementary Gothic" is a serif typeface that is an attempt to hybridize a decorative titling face - with a full use text face. It is a font loosely based upon medieval and renaissance era lettering, and was also inspired by the map texts of fantasy author J.R.R. Tolkien. It is a biased mixture of both contemporary and antique typographical stylizations.
