Cellophone by Christoph Windmueller of FSI FontShop International GmbH is a free outlined techno display font built from tall, narrow tubular forms. Rounded rectangular frames and parallel inner strokes give the letters a maze-like construction, with open breaks punctuating the upright silhouettes. The repeated bends and gaps recall routed cables or the tracks of a circuit board.
It can turn a science-fiction title card into part of the interface, and the same engineered lettering fits arcade games and synthesizer packaging. Music posters and club merchandise also suit its enclosed channels, especially for electronic music, retro-futurist themes, and old computer hardware imagery.
