Cardiff from Typographer Mediengestaltung is a free nautical display font built from broad, squared capitals with layered outlines and a carved, dimensional edge. Horizontal stripes fill the upper sections, and recurring boats and waves turn the lower portions into miniature maritime scenes.

The shipboard imagery lets the lettering function like illustration in seaside posters and harbor event graphics. Its chunky silhouettes and engraved-looking bands also fit seafood packaging and nautical merchandise, where the words can resemble decorated signs or badges. This font is most convincing when a maritime theme is central to the project rather than a passing accent.
