Note de l'auteur
Brinkmann AH font by Andreas Höfeld is a free medieval gothic typeface. Heavy, ink-soaked strokes and sharply folded curves give it the dark, church-window drama of old blackletter signage, while the compact spacing pushes words into a solid, carved band of text. It feels like it was stamped into metal or pressed into leather, making every word look weighty and deliberate.
Using Brinkmann AH, titles and logos for fantasy novels, RPG campaigns, metal bands, beer labels, tattoo flash sheets, and historical event posters instantly gain a brooding, old-world presence. This free font shines at large sizes where its ornate forms can breathe; pair it with a plain, modern sans serif for supporting text to keep layouts readable and grounded.
