BOMBORA Police

Bombora by Jan Paul is a free angular display font with broad, irregular letters and sharply tapered strokes. Open joins and sliced forms give the alphabet a handmade, almost carved construction. Its uneven contours keep the shapes lively.

Futuristic themes and experimental music provide the strongest setting for this restless lettering. It can turn music posters, game graphics, and club flyers into rough-edged title treatments, with enough variation to avoid a mechanical finish. On apparel, the pointed cuts can echo shards, lightning motifs, or angular character art as part of the graphic itself.

Bombora evolved from work with surf designs and was digitized by Brian Kent in New York. The native name refers to massive surf building up over a reef.
