Awakening is a free distorted display font with the raw, improvised edge of graffiti lettering. Its uneven strokes look repeatedly scratched and retraced, leaving dark knots, stray marks, and small breaks along the letterforms. Tall shapes and wavering curves keep the line restless rather than neatly typeset.

On music packaging, the rough surface can echo photocopied artwork, marker drawings, or distressed photography, and the same quality suits gig posters and underground magazine covers. It also gives horror game title screens and streetwear branding a tense, handmade identity, with the lettering becoming part of the artwork instead of a neutral label.
